World Jamborees are special events that are unique unto themselves. Yes, they are jamborees but to have a jamboree experience with Scouts from around the world is a tremendous personal growth event. Such an experience is difficult to duplicate and is really a once in a life time Scouting experience for a young man or woman. The Swedes are planning a great event. Two important program events are having each troop spend one night off site at a summer camp site in Denmark or Norway. There they will camp with Scouts from many countries.

Of the planned program time, a full 1/3 is unscheduled to allow for troops from different countries to get together so their Scouts can learn more about their countries and Scouting programs. If you want to learn more about the jamboree, here is a link on the BSA website.
